ABOUT

Dheeresh Mathur

Engineering Executive · AI Systems · Computing Platforms

I’m a technology executive and systems engineer with more than two decades of experience building computing platforms. My work has crossed AI systems, operating systems, AR/XR, mobile, embedded computing, connectivity, and device-to-cloud platforms.

Across roles at Snap, Qualcomm, Broadcom, and Nokia, I have worked from silicon and operating systems through AI runtimes, developer platforms, and cloud services—helping build technologies that reach millions of devices and span multiple generations of computing.

I’ve also led global engineering organizations of more than 100 engineers. That has made the organizational dimension of technical architecture as compelling to me as the technology itself: systems only become real when teams can reason about, build, operate, and evolve them together.

Patents & Invention

Inventor on 20+ patent filings across AI/ML, AR/XR, device security, and multimedia systems, including 5 granted patents.

Much of my work has been at the boundary between hardware, software, and the systems that connect them.

What I’m Exploring Now

The transition from AI models to AI systems. The emerging boundaries between device, edge, and cloud intelligence. AI-native operating systems. And the persistent constraints that determine whether intelligence can be useful in the real world: latency, compute, memory, power, privacy, security, software architecture, and the engineering organizations that must make all of it cohere.
